Carolyn's German Chocolate Cake

INGREDIENTS
1 package milk chocolate cake mix
3 egg yolks
1c sugar
1c evaporated milk
1/2c butter or margarine
1t vanilla
1 1/3c flaked coconut
1c chopped pecans

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 375° F. Grease & flour three 8" or two 9" round cake pans. Prepare and bake cake according to package directions. Remove from pans and cool on wire rack. Make frosting by combining egg yolks, sugar, evaporated milk, and butter or margarine in saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat til thickened, 12 to 15 minutes. Add vanilla, coconut, and pecans. Beat til thick. Spread between layers and on top of cake.
