INGREDIENTS
2 Tbls. butter1 Tbls. minced onion
¼ cup flour
4 cup chicken broth
½ tsp. salt
1 cup half & half
3 Tbls. slivered almonds
2 cups cooked wild rice
DIRECTIONS
Saute onions in butter until tender but not brown. Blend in flour. Gradually add broth. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in cooked rice and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. Blend in Half & Half. Heat to serve but do not boil.*May add ½ cup finely grated carrot and chicken or turkey.
