Merilee's Caramel Rice Crispies

INGREDIENTS
Use sweetened condensed milk can to measure all ingredients.
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can sugar
1 can brown sugar
1 can butter or margarine (2 Tbsp. less than 3 full cubes)
1 can corn syrup
20 cups Rice Krispies
 
DIRECTIONS
Put Rice Krispies in a large metal bowl.  Place remaining ingredients in pan.  Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until mixture comes to a full boil.  Stir continuously until it reaches 239 degrees. 
 Quickly pour over cereal and mix well.  Press into 2 lightly greased sheet cake pans.  Let cool then cut into squares.  Approx. 48 treats.
